Important Safety Instructions: Before operating this oven, please read these instructions and precautions carefully and keep for future reference. 1 EN Important safety instructions WARNING 1. The door seals and seal areas should be cleaned with a damp cloth. The appliance should be inspected for damage to the door seals and door seal areas and if these areas are damaged the appliance should not be operated until it has been repaired by a service technician trained by the manufacturer. 2. Liquids and other foods must not be heated in sealed containers since they are liable to explode. 3. WHEN YOUR OVEN REQUIRES SERVICING, call your local Panasonic engineer (Customer Support). It is hazardous for anyone other than a competent person to carry out any service or repair operation which involves the removal of a cover which gives protection against exposure to microwave energy. CAUTION 1. Do not attempt to tamper with or make any adjustments or repairs to the door, control panel housing, safety interlock switches or any other part of the oven. Do not remove the outer panel from the oven which gives protection against exposure to microwave energy. Repairs should only be done by a qualified service person. 2. Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged CORD OR PLUG, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped. It is dangerous for anyone other than a service technician trained by the manufacturer to perform repair service. 3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. 4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. 2 EN 5. The microwave oven is intended for heating food and beverages. Drying of food, newspaper or clothing and heating of warming pads, slippers, sponges, damp cloth and similar may lead to risk of injury, ignition or fire. 6. Before use, check that utensils/ containers are suitable for use in microwave ovens. 7. The oven will only operate with the door closed. 8. When the oven is not being used, do not store any objects other than oven accessories inside the oven in case it is accidentally turned on. 9. The appliance shall not be operated WITHOUT FOOD IN THE OVEN. Operation in this manner may damage the appliance. 10. If smoke or a fire occurs in the oven, press Stop/Reset and leave the door closed in order to stifle any flames. Disconnect the power cord, or shut off the power at the fuse or the circuit breaker panel. 11. The oven lamp must be replaced by a service technician trained by the manufacturer. Do not attempt to remove the outer casing from the oven. Installation Examine your microwave oven Unpack the oven, remove all packing material, and examine the oven for any damage such as dents, broken door latches or cracks in the door. If you find any damage, notify E your dealer immediately. Do not n g l install a damaged microwave oven. i s h Earthing Instructions IMPORTANT: THIS UNIT HAS TO BE PROPERLY EARTHED FOR PERSONAL SAFETY. If your AC outlet is not earthed, it is the personal responsibility of the customer to have it replaced with a properly earthed wall socket. Operation Voltage The voltage has to be the same as specified on the label on the oven. If a higher voltage than specified is used, it may cause a fire or other damages. Placement of the oven This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; • farm houses; • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments; • bed and breakfast type environments. 1. Place the oven on a flat and stable surface, more than 85 cm above the floor. The appliance is freestanding type and shall not be placed in a cabinet. 2. When this oven is installed, it should be easy to isolate the appliance from the electricity supply by pulling out the plug or operating a circuit breaker. 3 EN Important safety instructions 3. For proper operation, ensure a sufficient air circulation for the oven. Counter-top use: a. Allow 15 cm of space on the top of the oven, 10 cm at the back and on 5 cm both sides. b. If one side of the oven is placed flush to a wall, the other side or top must not be blocked. 15 cm 10. When it becomes necessary to replace the oven light, please consult your dealer. Accessories The oven comes equipped with a variety of accessories. Always follow the directions given for use of the accessories. Roller ring Q The roller ring and the oven floor should be cleaned frequently to prevent noise and build-up of remaining food. 5 cm 10 cm 5 cm counter top Q The roller ring must always be used for cooking together with the glass tray. Do not use outdoors. 7. Avoid using the microwave oven in high humidity. 8. The power cord should not touch the outside of the oven. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or work top. Do not immerse the cord, plug or oven in water. 9. Do not block the air vents on the left side and back of the oven. If these openings are blocked during operation the oven may overheat. In this case the oven is protected by a thermal safety device and resumes operation only after cooling down. roller ring and glass tray in place. Q Only use the glass tray specifically designed for this oven. Do not substitute with any other glass tray. Q If the glass tray is hot, let it cool before cleaning or placing in water. Q The glass tray can turn in either direction. Q If the food or cooking vessel on the glass tray touches the oven walls and stops the tray rotating, the tray will automatically rotate in the opposite direction. This is normal. Open oven door, reposition the food and restart. Q Do not cook foods directly on the glass tray. Always place food in a microwave safe dish. Q While cooking, the glass tray may vibrate. This will not affect cooking performance. 4 EN Important If the recommended cooking time is exceeded, the food will be spoiled and in extreme circumstances could catch fire and possibly damage the interior of the oven. E Foods low in moisture Take care when heating foods low in moisture, e.g. bread items, chocolate, popcorn, biscuits and pastries. These can easily burn, dry out or catch on fire if cooked too long. We do not recommend Short cooking time As microwave cooking time is much shorter than other cooking methods, it is essential that recommended cooking time is not exceeded without first checking the food. Factors that may affect cooking time are: preferred degree of cooking, starting temperature, altitude, volume, size and shape of foods and utensils used. As you become familiar with the oven, you will be able to adjust these factors. It is better to undercook rather than overcook foods. If food is undercooked, it can always be returned to the oven for further cooking. If food is overcooked, nothing can be done. Always start with minimum cooking time. Small quantities of food Take care when heating small quantities of food as these can easily burn, dry out or catch fire if cooked too long. Always set short cooking time and check the food frequently. heating foods low in moisture such n g as popcorn or bread. l i s h This oven has been developed for food use only. We do not recommend to use for heating non food items such as wheat bags or hot water bottles. Reheating It is essential that reheated food is served "piping hot". Remove the food from the oven and check that it is "piping hot", i.e. steam is being emitted from all parts and all sauce is bubbling. (You may choose to check the food has reached 72 °C with a food thermometer – but remember do not use this thermometer inside the microwave.) For foods that cannot be stirred, e.g. lasagne, shepherds pie, the centre should be cut with a knife to test it is well heated through. Even if a manufacturer's packet instructions have been followed always check the food is piping hot before serving and if in doubt return your food to the oven for further heating. Standing time Standing time refers to the period at the end of cooking or reheating when food is left before being eaten, i.e. it is a rest time which allows the heat in the food to continue to conduct to the centre, thus eliminating cold spots. 5 EN Important safety instructions Lids Always remove the lids of jars and containers and takeaway food containers before you microwave the food. If the lid remains, then steam and pressure might build up inside and cause an explosion even after the microwave cooking has stopped. Babies bottles and food jars When reheating babies bottles always remove top and teat. Liquid at the top of the bottle will be much hotter than that at the bottom and must be shaken thoroughly before checking the temperature. This should be carried out before consumption to avoid burns. See page 26. Boiled eggs Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave ovens since they may explode even after microwave heating has ended. Foods with skins Potatoes, apples, egg yolk, whole vegetables and sausages are examples of food with non porous skins. These must be pierced using a fork before cooking to prevent bursting. Paper and plastic When heating food in plastic or paper containers, keep an eye on the oven due to the possibility of ignition. Do not use wire twist-ties with roasting bags as arcing will occur. Do not use re-cycled paper products, e.g. Kitchen roll unless they say they are specifically designed for use in a microwave oven. These products contain impurities which may cause sparks and/or fires when used. Liquids Microwave heating of beverages can result in delayed eruptive boiling, therefore care should be taken when handling the container. To prevent the possibility of sudden boil the following steps should be taken: a) Avoid using straight-sided containers with narrow necks. b) Do not overheat. c) Stir the liquid before placing the container in the oven and again halfway through the heating time. d) After heating, allow to stand in the oven for a short time, stirring again before carefully removing the container. Deep fat frying Do not attempt to deep fat fry in your oven. Arcing Arcing may occur accidentally if a metal container has been used or the incorrect weight of food is used. Arcing is flashes of blue light seen in the microwave oven. If this occurs, stop the machine immediately. If the oven is left unattended and this continues it can damage the machine. Meat thermometer Use a meat thermometer to check the degree of cooking of joints and poultry only when meat has been removed from the microwave. If undercooked, return to the oven and cook for a few more minutes at the recommended power level. Do not leave a conventional meat thermometer in the oven when microwaving. 6 EN General guidelines STANDING TIME Dense foods e.g. meat, jacket potatoes and cakes, require standing time (inside or outside of the oven) after cooking, to allow heat to finish conducting to the centre of the food to cook through completely. Wrap meat joints and jacket potatoes in aluminium foil while standing. Meat joints need approx. 10–15 minutes, jacket potatoes 5 minutes. Other foods such as plated meals, vegetables, fish etc. require 2–5 minutes standing. If food is not cooked after standing time, return to the oven and cook for additional time. After defrosting food, standing time should also be allowed. QUANTITY Small quantities cook faster than large quantities, and small meals will reheat more quickly than large portions. SPACING MOISTURE CONTENT Many fresh foods e.g. vegetables and fruit, vary in their moisture content throughout the season. For this reason cooking time may have to be adjusted. Dry ingredients e.g. rice, pasta, can dry out during storage so cooking time may differ. E n g l PIERCING i s h The skin or membrane on some foods will cause steam to build up during cooking. These foods must be pierced or a strip of skin should be peeled off before cooking to allow the steam to escape. Eggs, potatoes, apples, sausages etc, will all need to be pierced before cooking. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOIL EGGS IN THEIR SHELLS. COVERING Foods cook more quickly and evenly if spaced apart. NEVER pile foods on top of each other. Cover foods with microwave cling film or a lid. Cover fish, vegetables, casseroles, soups. Do not cover cakes, sauces, jacket potatoes or pastry items. DENSITY Porous airy foods heat more quickly than dense heavy foods. 7 EN General guidelines CLING FILM Cling film helps keep the food moist and the trapped steam assists in speeding up cooking time. Pierce before cooking to allow excess steam to escape. Always take care when removing cling film from a dish as the build-up of steam will be very hot. SHAPE Even shapes cook evenly. Food cooks better by microwave when in a round container rather than square. STARTING TEMPERATURE The colder the food, the longer it takes to heat up. Food from a fridge takes longer to reheat than food at room temperature. Food temperature should be between 5 and 8 °C before cooking. LIQUIDS All liquids must be STIRRED BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER heating. Water must be stirred before and during heating, to avoid eruption. Do not heat liquids that have previously been boiled. DO NOT OVERHEAT. TURNING AND STIRRING Some foods require stirring during cooking. Meat and poultry should be turned after half of the cooking time. ARRANGING Individual foods e.g. chicken portions or chops, should be placed on a dish so that the thicker parts are towards the outside. CHECKING FOOD It is essential that food is checked during and after a recommended cooking time, even if an AUTO PROGRAMME has been used (just as you would check food cooked in a conventional oven). Return the food to the oven for further cooking if necessary. DISH SIZE Follow the dish sizes given in the recipes, as these affect the cooking and reheating times. A quantity of food spread in a bigger dish cooks and reheats faster. CLEANING As microwaves work on food particles, keep your oven clean at all times. Stubborn spots of food can be removed by using a microwave spray cleaner, sprayed onto a soft cloth. Always wipe the oven dry after cleaning. 8 EN Containers to use Choosing the correct container is a very important factor in deciding the success or failure of your cooking. OVEN GLASS Glass that is heat resistant e.g. Pyrex®, is ideal, and can be used. Do not use glass which may crack due to the heat from the E n food. Do not use lead crystal which may crack or arc. g l i s h CHINA AND CERAMIC Glazed china plates, saucers, bowls, mugs and cups can be used if they are heat resistant. Porcelain and ceramic are also ideal. Fine bone china should only be used for reheating for short period of time, otherwise the change in temperature may crack the dish or craze the finish. Do not use dishes with a metal rim or pattern. Do not use jugs or mugs with glued handles, since the glue can melt in a microwave. POTTERY, EARTHENWARE, STONEWARE Only use if completely glazed. Do not use if partially glazed or unglazed, as they are able to absorb water which will absorb microwave energy, making the container very hot and slowing down the cooking of food. FOIL/METAL CONTAINERS NEVER ATTEMPT TO COOK IN FOIL OR METAL containers – the microwaves cannot pass through and the food will not heat evenly – this may also damage your oven. Use wooden kebab sticks instead of metal skewers. CLING FILM Use microwave cling film to cover food that is to be reheated, or cooked, ON MICROWAVE ONLY taking care to avoid the film being in direct contact with the food. 9 EN Containers to use PLASTIC Many plastic containers are designed for microwave use. Only use containers if they are designed for microwave use. Do not use Melamine as it will scorch. Do not use plastic for cooking foods high in sugar or fat or foods that require long cooking time e.g. brown rice. Never cook in margarine containers or yogurt pots, as these will melt with the heat from the food. PAPER Plain white kitchen paper (kitchen towel) can be used for covering blind pastry cases and for covering bacon to prevent splattering ONLY USE FOR SHORT COOKING TIME. NEVER RE-USE A PIECE OF KITCHEN TOWEL. Avoid kitchen paper containing manmade fibers. Check that branded re-cycled kitchen towel is recommended for microwave use. Do not use waxed or plastic coated cups as the finish may melt in the oven. Greaseproof paper can be used to line the base of dishes and to cover fatty foods. White paper plates can be used for SHORT REHEATING TIMES, ON MICROWAVE ONLY. WICKER, WOOD, STRAW BASKETS Do not use these items in your microwave. With continued use and with prolonged exposure they will crack and could ignite. ALUMINIUM FOIL Small amounts of smooth aluminium foil can be used to SHIELD joints of meat during defrosting. As the microwaves cannot pass through the foil this prevents the shielded parts from overcooking or overdefrosting. The foil must not touch the sides or roof of the oven, as this may cause arching and damage your oven. ROASTING BAGS These are useful when slit up one side to tent a joint of meat when roasting by power and time. DO NOT USE THE METAL TWISTS SUPPLIED. 10 EN Parts of your oven 1. Door handle Pull to open the door. Opening the door during cooking will stop the cooking process without cancelling the programme. It is quite safe to open the door at any time during a cooking programme and there is no risk of microwave exposure. For NN-SM33HM, cooking resumes as soon as the door is closed. E n g l i s h Turn the dial to select the desired power level. Turn the dial to set the cooking time for microwave cooking, or to set the weight of food for defrosting. For short cooking time, turn the dial past 5 minutes and then adjust to the time required. For the weight less than 0.2 kg, turn the dial past 0.2 kg and then adjust to the weight required. Power Level High Medium High Medium Defrost Low Example of Use Boil water. Cook fresh fruit, vegetables, rice, pasta and noodles. Cook poultry, meat, cakes and desserts. Heat milk. Cook eggs, cheeses, fish, pot roasts, casseroles and meat loaves. Melt chocolate. Thaw foods. Keep cooked foods warm, simmer slowly. ④ Notes 1. If the door is already closed, the oven will start cooking/defrosting immediately. 2. If you wish to check the food during cooking simply open the door. The oven will automatically stop cooking. To continue cooking, close the door. 3. To stop cooking, turn Time/Weight Select dial to zero position. Cooking time can be reset at any time during the cooking cycle by turning the dial. 4. When food is removed from the oven after cooking is complete, check the Time/Weight Select dial is in the zero position. 5. Around half of defrosting time, turn over the food, remove the defrosted part/ food, or shield thin ends/fat/bones of roast with foil. During Cooking One press temporarily stops the cooking process. Another press cancels all your instructions and a colon or the time of day will appear in the display. 12 Start pad One press allows oven to begin operation. If door is opened or Stop/Reset is pressed once during oven operation, Start must be pressed again to restart oven. ④ Note If Start is not pressed for 6 minutes beep will be heard. If a pad is pressed and no beep is heard, the unit has not or cannot accept the instruction. The oven will beep twice between programmed stages. At the end of any complete programme, the oven will beep 5 times. after cooking programme setting, the oven will automatically cancel the cooking programme. The display will revert back to clock or colon. 14 EN NN-ST34HM Setting the clock When the oven is plugged in for the first time, "88.88" appears in display. Example: To set 11:25am Press 11 times. (to set hours) Press twice. Press 5 times. (to set 1 minute) E n g l i s h Press Timer/Clock twice. A colon starts to blink. ④ Notes (to set 10 minutes) Enter time of day. Press Timer/Clock. The colon stops blinking. Time of day is now locked into the display. 1. To reset the clock, repeat step 1 through to step 3, as above. 2. The clock will keep the time of day as long as the oven is plugged in and electricity is supplied. 3. This is a 12 hour clock. NN-ST34HM Child safety lock This feature will make the oven controls inoperable; however, the door can be opened. Child Lock can be set when the display shows a colon or the time. To Set: To Cancel: Press Start 3 times in 10 seconds. The clock will disappear. Actual time will not be lost. "Child" is indicated in the display. Press Stop/Reset 3 times in 10 seconds. The clock will reappear in the display. 15 EN NN-ST34HM Microwave cooking and defrosting The glass tray must always be in position when using the oven. Press Micro Power to select the desired power level. Set the cooking time. Your oven can be programmed for up to 99 minutes 50 seconds in Med-high, Medium, Defrost, and Low power. High power can be programmed for up to 30 minutes. Press Start. The time counts down in the display. Press once twice 3 times 4 times 5 times Power Level High Med-high Medium Defrost Low Example of Use Boil water. Cook fresh fruit, vegetables, rice, pasta and noodles. Cook poultry, meat, cakes and desserts. Heat milk. Cook eggs, cheeses, fish, pot roasts, casseroles and meat loaves. Melt chocolate. Thaw foods. Keep cooked foods warm, simmer slowly. ④ Notes 1. The oven will automatically work on High microwave power if a cooking time is entered without the power level previously being selected. 2. While cooking, the glass tray may vibrate. This will not affect cooking performance. 3. For MULTI-STAGE COOKING, refer to page 17. 4. STANDING TIME can be programmed after microwave power and time setting. Refer to page 19. 5. DO NOT cook with any metal accessory in the oven. 6. Always check the food during defrosting by opening the door then restarting. It is not necessary to cover food during defrosting. To ensure an even result, stir, turn or separate several times during defrosting. For large joints and poultry, turn halfway through defrosting and protect ends and tips with foil. Refer to Defrosting guidelines on page 21 for details. 16 EN NN-ST34HM Multi-stage cooking This feature allows you to programme up to 3 stages of cooking continuously. Example:  To continually set High power for 2 minutes, Medium power for 3 minutes and Low power for 2 minutes. Press twice. E n g l i s h Press Micro Power once to select High power. Press Micro Power 3 times to select Medium power. Press Micro Power 5 times to select Low power. ④ Notes Set the cooking time. Press 3 times. Set the cooking time. Press twice. Set the cooking time. Press Start. The time for the first stage counts down in the display. 1. AUTO PROGRAMMES cannot be used with MULTI-STAGE COOKING. 2. When operating, 2 beeps will sound between each stage, and 5 beeps will sound after all stages have finished. 17 EN NN-ST34HM Quick 30 feature This feature allows you to set cooking time in 30 seconds increments up to 5 minutes at High power. Press Quick 30 until the desired cooking time appears in the display. ④ Notes Press Start. The time counts down in the display. 1. You can select other power level if you need. Select the desired power level before pressing Quick 30. 2. This function will not operate for 1 minute after manual cooking. NN-ST34HM Add time feature This feature allows you to add cooking time during and at the end of cooking. Example: To add 5 minutes at the end of cooking. Press 5 times. Press Add Time right after cooking. ④ Notes Set the cooking time. Press Start. The time counts down in the display. 1. During cooking, set the additional cooking time (1 to 10 minutes) in 5 seconds after pressing Add Time. Time will be added without pressing Start. 2. After cooking, ADD TIME can be set up to 30 minutes for High power and 99 minutes 50 seconds for other powers. It will be cancelled, if you don't perform any operation for 1 minute after cooking. 3. ADD TIME feature can be used after MULTI-STAGE COOKING. The power level is the same as the last stage. This function will not operate if the last stage was standing time. 4. ADD TIME feature is not available for AUTO PROGRAMMES. 18 EN NN-ST34HM Using the timer This feature operates as a KITCHEN TIMER or allows you to programme the STANDING TIME/DELAY START. Kitchen timer Example: To count 5 minutes. E n g l Press 5 times. i s h Press Timer/ Clock. Standing time Set the desired time. (up to 99 minutes 50 seconds) Press Start. The time counts down without the oven operating. Example:  To stand for 5 minutes after cooking at Medium power for 3 minutes. Press 3 times. Press Micro Power 3 times to select Medium power. Press Timer/ Clock. Set the desired cooking time. Press 5 times. Set the desired standing time. (up to 99 minutes 50 seconds) Press Start. Cooking starts. After cooking, standing time will count down without operation. 19 EN NN-ST34HM Using the timer Delay start Example:  To start cooking at Medium power for 3 minutes after 5 minutes of standing time. Press 5 times. Press Timer/ Clock. Press Micro Power 3 times to select Medium power. ④ Notes Set the desired delay time. (up to 99 minutes 50 seconds) Press 3 times. Set the desired cooking time. Press Start. Delayed time counts down, then cooking will start. 1. MULTI-STAGE COOKING can be programmed including STANDING TIME and DELAY START. 2. Select the category and set the weight of the food. The weight is programmed in kilograms for TURBO DEFROST and in grams for AUTO REHEAT/MENU. The oven determines MICROWAVE power level and cooking time automatically. For quick selection, the weight starts from the most commonly used weight for each category. Defrosting guidelines For Best Results: 1. Place foods in a suitable container. Meat joints and chickens should be placed on an upturned saucer or on a plastic rack if you have one. 2. Check food during defrosting, as foods vary in their defrosting speed. 3. It is not necessary to cover the whole food (see point 6). 4. Always turn or stir the food especially when the oven "beeps". Shield if necessary (see point 6). 5. Minced meat, chops and other small items should be broken up or separated and placed in a single layer. 21 EN NN-ST34HM Auto programmes 6. Shielding prevents food from cooking. It is essential when defrosting chickens and joints of meat. The outside thaws out first, so protect wings/breast and fat with smooth pieces of aluminium foil secured with cocktail sticks. 7. Set the weight of the food and press Start. Turn at beeps. E n g l i s h 25 EN Cooking and reheating guidelines Most foods reheat very quickly in your oven by HIGH power. Meals can be brought back to serving temperature in just minutes. Always check food is piping hot and return to oven if necessary. As a general rule, always cover wet foods, e.g. soups, casseroles and plated meals. Do not cover dry foods e.g. bread rolls, mince pies, sausage rolls, etc. Remember when cooking or reheating any food that it should be stirred or turned wherever possible. This ensures even cooking or reheating on the outside and in the centre. MINCE PIES - CAUTION REMEMBER even if the pastry is cold to the touch, the filling will be piping hot and will warm the pastry through. Take care not to overheat otherwise burning can occur due to the high fat and sugar content of the filling. Check the temperature of the filling before consuming to avoid burning your mouth. PUDDINGS AND LIQUIDS - CAUTION Puddings and other foods high in fats or sugar, e.g. jam, mince pies, must not be over heated. These foods must never be left unattended as with over cooking these foods can ignite. Take great care when reheating these items. Do not leave unattended. Do not add extra alcohol. BABIES BOTTLES - CAUTION Milk or formula MUST be shaken thoroughly before heating and again at the end and tested carefully before feeding a baby. For 7-8 fl. oz. of milk from fridge temperature, remove top and teat. Heat on HIGH power for 30-50 secs. CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE FEED. For 3 fl. oz. of milk from fridge temperature, remove top and teat. Heat on HIGH power for 15-20 secs. CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE FEED. N.B. Liquid at top of bottle will be much hotter than at bottom. The bottle must be shaken thoroughly and tested before use. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE YOUR MICROWAVE TO STERILISE BABIES' BOTTLES. If you have a special microwave steriliser, we urge extreme caution, due to the low quantity of water involved. It is vital to follow the manufacturers instructions implicitly. PLATED MEALS Everyone's appetite varies and reheat times depend on meal contents. Dense items e.g. mashed potato, should be spread out well. If a lot of gravy is added, extra time may be required. Place denser items to the outside of the plate. Between 2-4 mins. on HIGH power will reheat an average portion. Do not stack meals. CANNED FOODS Remove foods from can and place in a suitable dish before heating. SOUPS Use a bowl and stir before heating and at least once through reheat time and again at the end. CASSEROLES Stir halfway through and again at the end of heating. 26 EN Questions and answers Q: Why won't my oven turn on? A: When the oven does not turn on, check the following: 1. Is the oven plugged in securely? Remove the plug from the outlet, wait 10 seconds and reinsert. 2. Check the circuit breaker and the fuse. Reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse if it is tripped or blown. 3. If the circuit breaker or fuse is all right, plug another appliance into the outlet. If the other appliance works, there probably is a problem with the oven. If the other appliance does not work, there probably is a problem with the outlet. If it seems that there is a problem with the oven, contact an authorised Service Centre. Q: My oven causes interference with my TV. Is this normal? A: Some radio and TV interference might occur when you cook with the oven. This interference is similar to the interference caused by small appliances such as mixers, vacuums, blow dryers, etc. It does not indicate a problem with your oven. Q: Sometimes warm air comes from the oven vents. Why? A: The heat given off from the cooking food warms the air in the oven cavity. This warmed air is carried out of the oven by the air flow pattern in the oven. There are no microwaves in the air. The oven vents should never be blocked during cooking. Q: Can I use a conventional oven thermometer in the oven? A: The metal in some thermometers may cause arcing in your oven and should not be used in a microwave oven. For NN-ST34HM only E n Q: The oven won't accept my g l programme. Why? i s h A: The oven is designed not to accept an incorrect programme. For example, the oven will not accept a 4th stage. 27 EN Care of your oven 1. The oven should be unplugged before cleaning. 2. Clean the inside of the oven, door seals and door seal areas regularly. When food splatters or spilled liquids adhere to the oven walls, door seals and door seal areas wipe off with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if they get very dirty. The use of harsh detergent or abrasive is not recommended. Avoid cleaning the microwave feed guide area situated on the right hand side of the cavity wall. DO NOT USE COMMERCIAL OVEN CLEANERS. 3. Do not use harsh, abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering the glass. 4. The outside oven surface should be cleaned with a damp cloth. To prevent damage to the operating parts inside the oven, water should not be allowed to seep into the ventilation openings. 5. If the Control Panel becomes dirty, clean it with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasives on the Control Panel. When cleaning the Control Panel leave the oven door open to prevent the oven from accidentally turning on. After cleaning press Stop/Reset to clear display window or make sure Time/ weight select dial is set to zero position. 6. If steam accumulates inside or around the outside of the oven door, wipe with a soft cloth. This may occur when the oven is operated under high humidity conditions and in no way indicates a malfunction of the unit. 7. It is occasionally necessary to remove the glass tray for cleaning. Wash the tray in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher. 8. The roller ring and oven cavity floor should be cleaned regularly to avoid excessive noise. Simply wipe the bottom surface of the oven with mild detergent and hot water then dry with a clean cloth. The roller ring may be washed in mild soapy water. Cooking vapours collect during repeated use but in no way affect the bottom surface or roller ring wheels. After removing the roller ring from the cavity floor for cleaning, be sure to replace it in the proper position. 9. A steam cleaner is not to be used for cleaning. 10. This oven should only be serviced by qualified personnel. For maintenance and repair of the oven contact the nearest authorised dealer. 11. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of surfaces that could affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation. 12. Keep air vents clean at all times. Check that no dust or other material is blocking any of the air vents on the top, bottom or rear of the oven. Vận hành theo cách này có thể làm hỏng thiết bị. 10. Nếu có khói hay lửa trong lò, hãy bấm Dừng/Cài đặt lại và để cửa đóng lại để dập tắt ngọn lửa. Ngắt đấu nối dây điện nguồn, hoặc tắt nguồn điện tại cầu chì hoặc bảng điều khiển bộ ngắt mạch. 11. Đèn trong lò phải được thay thế bởi một kỹ thuật viên bảo trì được nhà sản xuất đào tạo. Đặt lò lên trên một bề mặt bằng phẳng và ổn định, cao cách sàn hơn 85 cm. Thiết bị này có dạng đứng tự do và không dùng để đặt trong khoang tủ. 2. Q Phải luôn sử dụng vòng xoay để nấu 5 cm 10 cm 5 cm mặt bệ bếp nướng cùng với đĩa thủy tinh. Đĩa thủy tinh Q Luôn vận hành lò với vòng xoay và đĩa thủy tinh được đặt đúng vị trí. Q Chỉ sử dụng đĩa thủy tinh được thiết 4. Không đặt lò này gần nồi cơm điện hoặc bếp gas. 5. Không nên tháo các chân đế của lò. 6. Lò này chỉ để sử dụng trong gia đình. Không sử dụng ngoài trời. 7. Tránh sử dụng lò vi sóng ở nơi có độ ẩm cao. 8. Không nên để dây điện nguồn chạm vào bên ngoài lò. Để dây điện cách xa các bề mặt nóng. Không để dây điện vắt ngang qua mép bàn hoặc nơi bày thực phẩm nấu nướng. Không được dìm dây điện, phích cắm điện hoặc lò vào nước. 9. Không được chặn các lỗ thông khí ở trên đỉnh và mặt sau của lò. Nếu các lỗ hở này bị chặn trong quá trình hoạt động thì lò có thể bị quá nóng. Thời gian nấu ngắn Khi thời gian nấu bằng lò vi sóng ngắn hơn nhiều so với những cách nấu khác thì nhất thiết thời gian nấu đề xuất không được vượt quá nếu trước tiên không kiểm tra thực phẩm đó. Các yếu tố có thể ảnh hưởng đến thời gian nấu là: mức độ nấu ưa thích, nhiệt độ bắt đầu, độ cao, khối lượng, kích thước và hình dạng của các loại thực phẩm và đồ dùng sử dụng. Khi đã sử dụng quen lò này, bạn sẽ có thể điều chỉnh các yếu tố này. Tốt hơn hết là hãy nấu vừa chín tới chứ đừng nấu quá chín thực phẩm. Nếu thực phẩm chưa được nấu chín, bạn luôn có thể đưa vào lò nấu thêm. Nếu thực phẩm được nấu quá chín, bạn sẽ chẳng làm được gì nữa. Luôn bắt đầu với thời gian nấu tối thiểu. Sử dụng lượng nhỏ thực phẩm Hãy cẩn thận khi làm nóng một lượng nhỏ thực phẩm bởi chúng có thể dễ dàng cháy, bị khô hoặc bắt lửa nếu nấu quá lâu. Luôn đặt thời gian nấu ngắn và kiểm tra thực phẩm thường xuyên. Thực phẩm có độ ẩm thấp Hãy cẩn thận khi làm nóng các thực phẩm có độ ẩm thấp, ví dụ: các loại bánh mì, sôcôla, bỏng ngô, bánh quy và bánh ngọt. Những thứ này có thể dễ dàng bị cháy, khô hoặc bắt lửa nếu nấu quá lâu. Chúng tôi khuyến cáo không làm nóng các thực phẩm có độ ẩm thấp như bắp rang hoặc bánh mì. Lò này được thiết kế để chỉ sử dụng cho thực phẩm. Chúng tôi khuyến cáo bạn không nên dùng lò để làm nóng các thứ không phải thực phẩm như túi chườm nóng hay chai nước nóng. Hâm nóng Điều cần thiết là thực phẩm hâm nóng sẽ được phục vụ "nóng sốt". Lấy thực phẩm ra khỏi lò và kiểm tra xem nó có "nóng sốt" hay không, nghĩa là đang bốc hơi mọi chỗ và nước sốt đang sủi bọt lăn tăn. (Nếu muốn bạn có thể kiểm tra thực phẩm đã đạt đến 72 °C hay chưa bằng nhiệt kế thực phẩm – nhưng nhớ đừng sử dụng nhiệt kế này bên trong lò vi sóng.) Đối với các loại thực phẩm không thể khuấy lên được, ví dụ như lasagne, thịt băm nấu khoai tây hầm (shepherds pie), nên dùng dao cắt vùng chính giữa để kiểm tra xem có được làm nóng đều không. Thậm chí nếu tuân thủ các hướng dẫn ngoài bao gói của nhà sản xuất thì vẫn luôn phải kiểm tra xem thực phẩm có nóng sốt hay không trước khi ăn và nếu nghi ngờ hãy đưa thực phẩm vào lò để làm nóng thêm. Thời gian chờ Thời gian chờ dùng để chỉ giai đoạn cuối cùng khi nấu hoặc hâm nóng lúc thực phẩm được để lại trước khi lấy ra ăn, ví dụ như đó là khoảng thời gian ngừng cho phép nhiệt độ trong thực phẩm tiếp tục lan tỏa đến vùng chính giữa, do đó loại bỏ các chỗ còn lạnh. T i ến g V i ệt 5 VI Hướng dẫn sử dụng an toàn Nắp đậy Luôn tháo nắp các lọ và dụng cụ chứa cũng như lấy ra dụng cụ chứa thực phẩm trước khi nấu chúng bằng lò vi sóng. Nếu không làm vậy thì khi đó hơi nước và áp suất có thể tích tụ lại bên trong và gây nổ ngay cả sau khi đã dừng nấu bằng lò vi sóng. Bình sữa em bé và hộp chứa thức ăn Khi hâm nóng bình sữa em bé hãy luôn tháo phần đầu trên và núm vú ra. Phần sữa ở trên đầu bình sẽ nóng hơn nhiều so với ở phần đáy và phải lắc kỹ trước khi kiểm tra nhiệt độ. Nên thực hiện thao tác này trước khi dùng để tránh bị bỏng. Xem trang 26. Trứng luộc Trứng trong vỏ và toàn bộ quả trứng đã luộc không nên đun nóng trong lò vi sóng bởi chúng có thể phát nổ ngay cả sau khi đun nóng bằng lò vi sóng đã kết thúc. Thực phẩm có lớp vỏ Khoai tây, táo, lòng đỏ trứng, các loại rau quả nguyên dạng và xúc xích là những ví dụ về thực phẩm có lớp vỏ không xốp rỗng. Các loại thực phẩm này phải dùng nĩa đâm thủng trước khi nấu để tránh bị nổ. Giấy và nhựa Khi đun nóng thực phẩm chứa trong dụng cụ bằng nhựa hoặc giấy, hãy nhớ quan sát lò bởi có thể bị bắt lửa. Không sử dụng dây buộc xoắn kim loại với túi nướng (roasting bag) bởi sẽ xảy ra hồ quang điện. Không sử dụng các sản phẩm giấy tái chế, ví dụ như cuộn giấy bọc thức ăn trừ khi chúng được thiết kế đặc biệt để sử dụng trong lò vi sóng. Các sản phẩm này chứa tạp chất có thể gây ra tia lửa và/hoặc cháy khi sử dụng. Chất lỏng Làm nóng đồ uống bằng lò vi sóng có thể dẫn đến sôi trào, do đó phải cẩn thận khi xử lý dụng cụ chứa. Để ngăn chặn khả năng sôi đột ngột cần thực hiện các bước sau: a) Tránh sử dụng hộp đựng có mặt bên thẳng với cổ hẹp. b) Không nấu quá nhiệt. c) Khuấy chất lỏng trước khi đặt dụng cụ chứa vào trong lò và khuấy một lần nữa khi được một nửa thời gian làm nóng. d) Sau khi làm nóng, giữ trong lò trong một khoảng thời gian ngắn, khuấy lại lần nữa trước khi lấy cẩn thận ra khỏi hộp đựng. Chiên dầu ngập mặt Không được cố gắng chiên dầu ngập mặt trong lò. Phóng hồ quang điện Có thể vô tình xảy ra hiện tượng phóng hồ quang điện nếu dùng đồ chứa bằng kim loại hoặc dùng trọng lượng thực phẩm không chính xác. Phóng hồ quang sẽ nhấp nháy tia sáng xanh dương thấy được trong lò vi sóng. Nếu điều này xảy ra, hãy ngừng thiết bị ngay lập tức. Nếu không có ai theo dõi lò và cứ tiếp tục xảy ra hiện tượng này thì có thể làm hỏng thiết bị. Nhiệt kế đo thịt Sử dụng nhiệt kế đo thịt để kiểm tra mức độ chín của các khớp xương và thịt gia cầm chỉ khi thịt đã được lấy ra khỏi lò vi sóng. Nếu chưa chín, hãy đưa trở lại lò và nấu thêm vài phút ở mức công suất được khuyến cáo. Không để nhiệt kế đo thịt thông thường vào lò khi đang bật vi sóng. 6 VI Hướng dẫn chung THỜI GIAN CHỜ Các loại thực phẩm đặc, ví dụ như thịt, khoai tây nguyên vỏ và bánh có lớp vỏ ngoài, thường đòi hỏi thời gian chờ (bên trong hoặc bên ngoài lò) sau khi nấu, để sức nóng lan tỏa đến phần chính giữa giúp thực phẩm chín hoàn toàn. Bọc miếng thịt và khoai tây nguyên vỏ trong giấy nhôm trong thời gian chờ. Miếng thịt cần khoảng 10–15 phút, khoai tây nguyên vỏ cần 5 phút. Các loại thực phẩm khác như món ăn dùng đĩa, rau quả, cá, v.v... sẽ cần 2–5 phút chờ. Nếu thực phẩm chưa chín sau thời gian chờ, hãy đưa trở lại lò và nấu thêm một chút. Sau khi rã đông thực phẩm, cũng cần phải có thời gian chờ. SỐ LƯỢNG Một lượng nhỏ sẽ nấu nhanh hơn các lượng lớn, còn các món ăn nhỏ sẽ hâm nóng nhanh hơn lượng thực phẩm lớn. GIÃN CÁCH THÀNH PHẦN ĐỘ ẨM Nhiều loại thực phẩm tươi sống, ví dụ như rau và hoa quả, thường thay đổi độ ẩm của chúng theo mùa. Bởi lý do này thời gian nấu có thể phải được điều chỉnh. Các thành phần khô, ví dụ như gạo, mì ống, có thể bị khô trong quá trình bảo quản nên thời gian nấu có thể khác nhau. ĐÂM THỦNG Lớp vỏ hoặc màng trên một số loại thực phẩm sẽ làm tích tụ hơi nước trong quá trình nấu. Những thực phẩm này phải được đâm thủng hoặc bóc một miếng vỏ ra trước khi nấu để cho hơi nước thoát ra. Trứng, khoai tây, táo, xúc xích v.v..., tất cả sẽ cần phải được đâm thủng trước khi nấu. KHÔNG ĐƯỢC CỐ GẮNG LUỘC TRỨNG NGUYÊN VỎ. CHE PHỦ T i ến g V i ệt Thực phẩm chín nhanh hơn và đồng đều hơn nếu được giãn cách ra xa nhau. KHÔNG BAO GIỜ xếp chồng thực phẩm lên nhau. Che phủ các thực phẩm trong lò vi sóng bằng tấm film mỏng hoặc nắp đậy dành cho lò vi sóng. Che phủ cá, rau quả, thịt hầm, súp. Không che phủ các loại bánh, nước sốt, khoai tây nguyên vỏ hoặc các loại bánh nướng. MẬT ĐỘ Thực phẩm thoáng khí dạng xốp rỗng sẽ nóng nhanh hơn các loại thực phẩm đặc chắc. 7 VI Hướng dẫn chung TẤM FILM MỎNG GÓI THỰC PHẨM Tấm film mỏng gói thực phẩm sẽ giúp giữ ẩm cho thực phẩm và giúp hơi nước còn kẹt lại đẩy nhanh thời gian nấu. Hãy đâm thủng trước khi nấu để cho phép hơi nước dư thừa thoát ra. Luôn cẩn thận khi tháo tấm film mỏng khỏi một món ăn bởi hơi nước tích tụ sẽ rất nóng. HÌNH DẠNG Các hình dạng đều nhau sẽ nấu chín đồng đều. Thực phẩm thường nấu bằng lò vi sóng tốt hơn khi có dạng tròn chứ không phải vuông. NHIỆT ĐỘ BẮT ĐẦU Thực phẩm càng lạnh thì càng làm nóng lâu hơn. Thực phẩm từ tủ lạnh sẽ mất nhiều thời gian để hâm nóng hơn là thực phẩm ở nhiệt độ phòng. Nhiệt độ thực phẩm nên ở từ 5 đến 8 °C trước khi nấu. CHẤT LỎNG Tất cả các chất lỏng phải được KHUẤY TRƯỚC, TRONG VÀ SAU khi làm nóng. Đặc biệt là nước phải được khuấy đều trước và trong khi làm nóng, để tránh bắn văng. Không làm nóng các chất lỏng mà trước đó đã được đun sôi. KHÔNG ĐƯỢC LÀM NÓNG QUÁ MỨC. ĐẢO VÀ KHUẤY Một số loại thực phẩm đòi hỏi phải khuấy lên trong quá trình nấu. Thịt gia súc và gia cầm cần được đảo lên sau một nửa thời gian nấu. SẮP XẾP Các loại thực phẩm riêng biệt, ví dụ như khúc hoặc miếng chặt thịt gà, nên được đặt trên đĩa sao cho các phần dày hơn hướng ra bên ngoài. KIỂM TRA THỰC PHẨM Điều cần thiết là phải kiểm tra thực phẩm trong và sau thời gian nấu được khuyến cáo, thậm chí nếu sử dụng CHƯƠNG TRÌNH TỰ ĐỘNG (cũng giống như bạn sẽ kiểm tra thực phẩm được nấu ở bếp lò thông thường). Đưa thực phẩm trở lại lò để nấu thêm nếu cần. KÍCH THƯỚC ĐĨA Sử dụng kích thước đĩa được đưa ra trong công thức nấu ăn, bởi điều này sẽ ảnh hưởng đến thời gian nấu và hâm nóng. Một lượng thực phẩm trải đều trong một đĩa lớn hơn sẽ nấu và hâm nóng nhanh hơn. VỆ SINH Bởi lò vi sóng hoạt động dựa trên các hạt thực phẩm, hãy giữ cho lò luôn sạch sẽ. Có thể loại bỏ các vết thực phẩm cứng đầu bằng cách sử dụng chất tẩy rửa dạng xịt có dành cho lò vi sóng, được phun lên một miếng vải mềm. Luôn lau khô lò sau khi vệ sinh xong. 8 VI Dụng cụ chứa để sử dụng Chọn đúng hộp chứa là yếu tố rất quan trọng trong việc quyết định sự thành công hay thất bại khi dùng lò nấu. THỦY TINH DÙNG CHO LÒ VI SÓNG Thủy tinh tốt nhất là loại có khả năng chịu nhiệt ví dụ như Pyrex®, và có thể dùng được. Không sử dụng loại thủy tinh mỏng có thể bị nứt vỡ do nhiệt từ thực phẩm. Không sử dụng pha lê chứa chì có thể bị nứt vỡ hoặc phóng hồ quang điện. T i ế n g V i ệ t ĐỒ GỐM SỨ Có thể sử dụng các loại đĩa, chén bát, ly cốc và tách nếu chúng chịu được nhiệt. Các đồ gốm và sứ cũng rất lý tưởng. Các loại gốm sứ chất lượng cao chỉ nên sử dụng để hâm nóng trong một thời gian ngắn, nếu không thay đổi nhiệt độ có thể làm nứt vỡ đĩa hoặc làm rạn lớp mặt. Không sử dụng các đĩa có đường viền hoặc họa tiết bằng kim loại. Không sử dụng bình hoặc cốc có tay nắm dán bằng keo, bởi lớp keo có thể bị tan chảy trong lò vi sóng. DỤNG CỤ BẰNG GỐM, ĐẤT NUNG, ĐỒ ĐÁ Chỉ sử dụng nếu được tráng men hoàn toàn. Không sử dụng nếu chỉ được tráng men một phần hoặc không tráng men, bởi các dụng cụ này có khả năng thấm nước mà sẽ làm hấp thụ năng lượng vi sóng, khiến dụng cụ chứa rất nóng và làm chậm quá trình nấu thực phẩm. DỤNG CỤ CHỨA BẰNG KIM LOẠI/LÁ NHÔM TUYỆT ĐỐI KHÔNG CỐ GẮNG NẤU TRONG DỤNG CỤ CHỨA BẰNG LÁ NHÔM HOẶC KIM LOẠI – vi sóng không thể xuyên qua chúng và thực phẩm sẽ không được làm nóng đồng đều – điều này cũng có thể làm hỏng lò của bạn. Sử dụng que xiên thịt nướng bằng gỗ thay vì kim loại. TẤM FILM MỎNG GÓI THỰC PHẨM Sử dụng tấm film mỏng dùng cho lò vi sóng để che đậy thực phẩm cần hâm nóng hoặc nấu, CHỈ KHI DÙNG LÒ VI SÓNG, cẩn thận để tránh tấm film tiếp xúc trực tiếp với thực phẩm. 9 VI Dụng cụ chứa để sử dụng ĐỒ NHỰA Nhiều loại hộp chứa bằng nhựa được thiết kế để sử dụng cho lò vi sóng. Chỉ sử dụng các hộp chứa nếu chúng được thiết kế để sử dụng cho lò vi sóng. Không sử dụng chất Melamine bởi nó sẽ cháy xém. Không sử dụng đồ nhựa để nấu các loại thực phẩm có nhiều đường hoặc chất béo hoặc các loại thực phẩm đòi hỏi thời gian nấu lâu, ví dụ như gạo lứt. Tuyệt đối không nấu trong các hộp chứa bơ thực vật hoặc hũ sữa chua (yogurt), bởi chúng sẽ tan chảy do nhiệt từ thực phẩm. DỤNG CỤ BẰNG GIẤY Có thể sử dụng giấy dùng cho nhà bếp màu trắng trơn (khăn bếp) để che phủ vỏ bánh nướng sẵn và để bao phủ thịt xông khói nhằm chặn bắn văng CHỈ SỬ DỤNG CHO THỜI GIAN NẤU NGẮN. TUYỆT ĐỐI KHÔNG TÁI SỬ DỤNG MIẾNG KHĂN BẾP. Hãy tránh các loại giấy dùng cho bếp có chứa sợi nhân tạo. Kiểm tra xem khăn bếp được tái sử dụng có thương hiệu đó có được khuyến cáo sử dụng cho lò vi sóng hay không. Không sử dụng các loại tách tráng sáp hoặc nhựa bởi lớp mặt có thể bị tan chảy trong lò. Có thể dùng giấy thấm dầu để lót đáy đĩa và bao phủ các thực phẩm nhiều chất béo. Có thể sử dụng đĩa giấy trắng CHỈ KHI DÙNG LÒ VI SÓNG VỚI THỜI GIAN HÂM NÓNG NGẮN. GIỎ ĐAN BẰNG LIỄU GAI, GỖ, SỢI RƠM Không sử dụng các thứ này trong lò vi sóng. Khi sử dụng liên tục và tiếp xúc kéo dài chúng sẽ bị nứt gãy và có thể bốc cháy. LÁ NHÔM Có thể dùng một lượng nhỏ lá nhôm mịn để BẢO VỆ miếng thịt trong quá trình rã đông. Bởi vi sóng không thể xuyên qua lá nhôm nên sẽ giúp ngăn ngừa các phần được bảo vệ không bị chín quá hoặc rã đông quá mức. Lá nhôm không được chạm vào các mặt bên hay đỉnh lò, bởi điều này có thể làm phóng hồ quang điện và gây hư hỏng lò. TÚI NƯỚNG Các thứ này rất hữu ích khi rạch một bên để căng miếng thịt ra khi nướng bằng điện và canh thời gian. KHÔNG SỬ DỤNG DÂY XOẮN KIM LOẠI ĐI KÈM. 10 VI Các bộ phận của lò 1. Tay cầm cửa Kéo ra để mở cửa. Mở cửa trong lúc đang nấu sẽ dừng lại quá trình nấu mà không hủy bỏ chương trình. Sẽ khá an toàn khi mở cửa bất cứ lúc nào trong một chương trình nấu và sẽ không có nguy cơ tiếp xúc với vi sóng. Đối với NN-SM33HM, quá trình nấu sẽ được tiếp tục ngay khi cửa lò được đóng. Nếu bạn muốn kiểm tra thức ăn trong quá trình nấu chỉ cần mở cửa lò ra. Lò sẽ tự động ngừng nấu. Để tiếp tục nấu, hãy đóng cửa lò lại. 3. Để ngừng nấu, xoay nút xoay Chọn thời gian/trọng lượng về vị trí số không. Thời gian nấu có thể được đặt lại bất cứ lúc nào trong suốt chu trình nấu bằng cách xoay nút này. 4. Khi lấy thức ăn ra khỏi lò sau khi nấu xong, kiểm tra nút xoay Chọn thời gian/trọng lượng đang ở vị trí số không. 5. Khi được khoảng một nửa thời gian rã đông, hãy đảo thức ăn, lấy phần/thức ăn bị rã đông ra, hoặc bọc phần đầu dẹt/mỡ/xương cần nướng bằng giấy nhôm. Nếu nhấn phím và không nghe thấy tiếng bíp, thiết bị đã hoặc không thể chấp nhận lệnh đó. Lò sẽ kêu bíp hai lần giữa các giai đoạn lập trình. Vào cuối bất cứ chương trình nào được cài xong, lò sẽ bíp 5 lần. ④ Lưu ý Nếu không nhấn nút Khởi động trong vòng 6 phút sau khi cài đặt chương trình nấu, lò sẽ tự động hủy bỏ chương trình nấu đó. Màn hình hiển thị sẽ phục hồi trở lại về hiển thị đồng hồ hoặc dấu hai chấm. 14 VI NN-ST34HM Cài đặt đồng hồ Khi lần đầu tiên cắm điện vào lò, "88:88" sẽ xuất hiện trong màn hiển thị. Ví dụ: Để cài đặt 11:25 Bấm 11 lần. (để cài giờ) Bấm 5 lần. (để cài 1 phút) Bấm Hẹn giờ/Đồng hồ hai lần. Dấu hai chấm bắt đầu nhấp nháy. ④ Lưu ý Bấm hai lần. Luôn kiểm tra thực phẩm có nóng sốt hay không và đưa trở lại lò nếu cần. Quy tắc thông thường là hãy luôn che phủ các loại thực phẩm ướt, ví dụ súp, thịt hầm và các món ăn dùng đĩa. Không che phủ các loại thức ăn khô, ví dụ như bánh mì, bánh nướng thịt băm, cuộn xúc xích, v.v... Hãy nhớ khi nấu hoặc hâm nóng bất cứ thực phẩm nào thì cần phải khuấy hay đảo bất cứ khi nào có thể. Thao tác này sẽ bảo đảm nấu hoặc hâm nóng ở bên ngoài lẫn ở giữa. BÁNH NƯỚNG THỊT BĂM - THẬN TRỌNG HÃY NHỚ ngay cả khi vỏ bánh nướng đã mát có thể chạm vào, phần nhân vẫn còn nóng sốt và sẽ làm ấm vỏ bánh. Cẩn thận không làm nóng quá mức nếu không có thể làm cháy do các chất béo và đường có nhiều trong phần nhân. Kiểm tra nhiệt độ phần nhân trước khi dùng để tránh bị phỏng miệng. ส�ำหรับอาหารที่มีมวลหนาแน่น เชน เนื้อ ่ สตว์มันฝรั่งอบและเค ้ก ต ้องมีเวล ั าพักอาหาร (พักในเตาหรือนอกเตา) หลังจากปรุงเสร็จ เพื่อปล่อยให ้ความร ้อนสามารถสงไปถึง ่ กึ่งกลางของอาหารได ้อย่างทั่วถึง ห่อเนื้อ สตว์ส ั วนข ้อต่อและมันฝรั่งอบด ้วย ่ ฟอยล์อลูมิเนียมขณะพักทิ้งไว ้ เนื้อสตว์ส ั วน่ ข ้อต่อต ้องใชเวล้ าพักประมาณ 10-15 นาที และมันฝรั่งอบใชเวล้ า 5 นาที อาหารชนิด อื่นๆ อย่างเชน อ ่
